Lanna + Micah
I think we cried almost as much as these two did.
Last spring we headed for Portland to meet Micah and Lanna and capture their wedding day. They live in Australia working for YWAM (Allie also worked for YWAM in Australia!) and decided to come to back to Portland, Lanna’s hometown to get married. It was the first, and last time, that Lanna’s family had seen, and would see them for a while, which meant it wasn’t just a wedding day for their families. It was a homecoming party, and a send-off party.
All morning Micah was so nervous for the first look. He knew that it was gonna be amazing, but just was so nervous. We headed to Fort Vancouver for the first look, and as Lanna made her way towards Micah and put her hand on his shoulder, you could see, even through all the nervousness how much Micah loved her and how excited he was to turn around and start this new adventure together.
After the first look we headed to church Lanna grew up in for the ceremony. Their family and friends did all the decorating, and the moms made the food, and a whole table full of desserts (Taylor couldn’t control himself).
To end the day, they did a family tradition where they throw the bride and groom up in the air. A true send-off. We were so honored to be part of Micah and Lanna’s wedding day, they are such amazing people, and here are a few of our favorite shots!
